Great drivers always have something in common

Last weekend two drivers dressed Sparco triumphed in their respective categories.

The first, Fabrizio “Piedone” Giovanardi, class of 1966, added the FIA European Touring Car Cup to the growing set of trophies accumulated in over twenty years in Touring championships throughout Europe.

The second, Sami Luka, class of 1989, veteran of the kart circuits who finally graduated as winner of the European KF2 Championship.

Two completely different careers. Fabrizio, Italian from Sassuolo who’s driven Alfa Romeo, BMW, Vauxhall, Porsche, once again confirms that you never lose good habits and this time came through in a Honda Accord Euro R. While Sami, Belgian from Brussels, finally lifted his first European trophy and celebrated along with all the Energy Corse team, looking forward to the next championships and a career full of potential.

So, one driver who’s already conquered half the world and one who’s just starting out. But how do you think Fabrizio made it to that level?

Starting out in karts, obviously.
